  • Building a database engine from scratch in C++20 unifying four storage models in a single logical system: row-oriented for OLTP, column-oriented for OLAP, a vector index for similarity search, and graph storage for relationships.
  • Designed the shared transaction, security, and metadata planes across all four storage engines (multi-version concurrency control on commit timestamps, write-ahead logging, and a single catalog), with each architecture decision recorded and costed before implementation.
  • Continuous integration across four compiler and sanitizer configurations, including aarch64, to catch memory-ordering defects that only surface on weak memory models.
